Shipping Your Motor Vehicle to Brazil

Only foreign Diplomats or members of international organizations such as UNO, UNESCO, IMF, etc. may import motor vehicles for personal use. The importation of motor vehicles is prohibited for citizens and foreigners holding Permanent and Temporary Visas.

Moving your household goods to Brazil

Before moving to Brazil, if you are not an Brazilian citizen, you are required to have a visa to live and work there. The visa must be valid for more than 180 days.

Brazil Customs Service

As long as you are a citizen of Brazil and are returning, and have lived outside Brazil for at least 365 days prior to relocation to Brazil, and have not been in Brazil for the past 12 months for more than a period of 45 days, items will be duty and tax-free. Provided your household goods arrive a maximum of 180 days after your arrival in Brazil, no duty or tax will need to be paid.

Packing Your Belongings

In order to ensure the most secure and space-efficient packing, we recommend that our professionals pack your goods for you. We use the best materials, and techniques in order to put you at ease through knowing that your goods will arrive safely. We have premium boxes and hardware, built to transport anything from flatscreens to artwork, to your fancy suit.

For your delicate and precious items, we custom-build wooden crates for maximum security. Every item moved will be export-wrapped or packed in a box. If you prefer to pack some of your goods yourself, we can provide you with the packing materials needed and a packing guide to help you with this.

Storing Your Belongings

We have storage facilities available in Brazil in case you are not in immediate need of your goods. We can store your items until you need them, at which point they are easily accessible.

Insuring Your Belongings

When moving overseas, you should insure your goods in order to put your mind at ease. 80% of our satisfied customers opt into our offer of insurance.

Can my car be shipped to Brazil?

Your car can only be shipping to Brazil if you are a foreign Diplomat or member of international organizations such as UNO, UNESCO, IMF, etc. The importation of motor vehicles is prohibited for citizens and foreigners holding Permanent and Temporary Visas.

Can I include food, beverages or medicines into my shipment?

No, you can not. These items should not be included in the shipment.

Will my cargo be fumigated upon arrival to Brazil?

If you use a regular pressure treated wood or standard pallets, than you cargo will be fumigated or returned the the country of origin.

When can I expect my belongings to arrive in Brazil?

In general, these are expected average times to assist you in the planning process:

Am I able to store my goods in Brazil?

Yes, you can. We have facilities to store your goods for you from a week to several months.

Is there duty and tax that I must pay for my household goods when moving to Brazil?

Provided you have lived outside Brazil for at least 365 days, and have used your goods for at least six months prior to importing them, there will be no duty and or tax on your belongings.

Am I able to pack my belongings myself?

Yes, you can. If you prefer to pack some of your goods yourself, we can provide you with the packing materials needed and a packing guide to help you with this.

Am I able to have my container delivered directly to my home in Brazil?

Yes, provided the streets are wide enough and there is vehicle access to your home.
